Qualification Status of Teachers of BSL (Int. Sign)

This discussion focuses upon the qualifications and certification needed to be a teacher of Sign language in the UK. How the qualification process has moved from a university based qualification to a National vocational qualification. The teaching certification needed to teach BSL in the UK is equivalent to the certification needed to teach any foreign language in the UK. 

There is an explanation of the route taken to qualification looking at associate teacher (ATLS) and qualified teacher (QTS) status.
