We have poor memory!

Remember what I said before: we think in words? This also affects our memory. You show us the sign for FORGET, we remember the word ‘forget’, and maybe the location: somewhere to the side of the head? But when we try to remember the sign, we can’t visualize it – we can’t ‘replay’ the video in our mind. We know the word, but we’ve forgotten the sign! When you show us the sign again, we’ll recognize it: Of course! Next time you ask: eh…..
What might work:
- Make us repeat a new sign after you, preferably several times. This makes us store the sign in our ‘muscle memory’ as well as in our visual memory. If our visual memory is not very good, maybe our arms and hands will remember the correct movement and handshapes.
